ARTIST'S STATEMENT - CENTER STAGE
Who ever thought I'd be a public speaker?

I'm the one behind the scenes, on the other side of the camera, definitely not in the spotlight. Well, that's true, of course. But having been pushed front and center during some of the publicity for the first book [see The Opera Project] I found - to my astonishment - that I very much enjoyed it all.

It helps to have a passion for one's subject, to be sure. But just meeting different people, getting to talk to them - that's the fun of it. Every now and then, I do my speaking onboard cruise ships, sailing away to places that are new to me. How much more fun could it be?

In my research for speeches, for The Tenor Book, and for the Artist Profiles in my Words & Music Shop on this website, I've found more centuries, more lives to explore. I have a passion for the history of opera and theatre - I'm completely caught up in other lives.

Explore with me - it's a great journey!
